The acquisition of this certificate marks that TST SEAL’s sealing module has officially entered the marine product supply chain, opening a new chapter in the exploration of the modular sealing product market.
As a public institution directly under the Ministry of Transport, China Classification Society (CCS) is a national ship technical inspection agency and the only professional agency in China engaged in ship classification inspection business. It is an authoritative certification agency that provides technical specifications, standards, and classification inspection, certification inspection, notarization inspection and certification services for ships, offshore facilities and related industrial products.

At the beginning of 2023, TST SEAL Technology launched the classification society certification work. According to the requirements of the relevant classification society’s approval standards, a complete set of drawings, technical conditions, type test outlines, quality control procedures and other documents for penetration devices were compiled and issued. During the evaluation period, relevant responsible personnel of China Classification Society conducted a comprehensive review of the personnel, sites and equipment, production processes, inspection and testing methods, quality control, etc. involved in product production; and sampled and tested the specifications, water tightness, air tightness, fire resistance and application types of certified pipeline penetration devices.
The pipeline penetration device (modular pipeline penetration device) that has obtained the CCS type approval certificate this time is composed of EPDM rubber with a higher flame retardant grade and stainless steel metal parts, and has a peelable layer variable diameter technology. It is a series of standard products formed by modularization, and the fire protection grade, sealing grade, corrosion resistance, etc. meet the requirements for use under ship (sea conditions). The product also has the characteristics of low smoke, halogen-free, non-toxic, fireproof, insulation, aging resistance (resistance to hot and humid air, ozone), weak acid resistance, weak alkali resistance, etc., and complies with the RoHS2.0 standard; the combustion performance of key raw materials reaches UL94 V0 level, and the service life can reach 30 years; it does not require maintenance and supports redundant design, and its cost performance is much higher than traditional plugging materials.
